Miller to host annual Senior Fair on Thursday in collaboration with U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb
MT. LEBANON, Sept. 7 – The public is invited to state Rep. Dan Miller’s free annual Senior Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Salvation Army, 1060 McNeilly Road in Mt. Lebanon, in collaboration with U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb.
Miller said that Lamb and his staff will provide seniors with information on federal resources, augmenting the role that Miller and his staff traditionally perform regarding available state services and programs.
“The Senior Fair is always one of our favorite events, as we are able to connect hundreds of seniors with needed information and resources provided by a number of vendors,” said Miller, D-Mt. Lebanon. “This year, we are pleased to expand that outreach into the federal realm, with the participation of Congressman Lamb and the expertise of his office.”
The event also offers free flu shots for those with a Medicare or insurance card, free medical screenings, the chance to win door prizes and a complimentary Smiley Cookie.
Exhibitors will include representatives from local, state and federal government offices, as well as local service providers and businesses. They will provide a wealth of information for seniors and caregivers.
Anyone desiring more information on the Senior Fair should call Miller’s Mt. Lebanon office at (412) 343-3870.
