Join Me for a Special Education Live Online Panel Discussion THIS FRIDAY

Over the past 20 years or so, thanks to the advocacy of many parents and individuals, as well as the commitment of education professionals, Special Education has improved significantly. Today, our schools are much more inclusive than they were in the past. But challenges remain, and for many kids and their families, the COVID-19 pandemic has heightened concerns and exposed problems. Understanding these challenges and learning from them is important for all of us, especially as we look ahead to a possible second wave of COVID-19.

On Friday, June 26 at 11 a.m., I will be hosting an online public discussion that will focus on the topic of Special Education. I hope that you will join us! We will have a panel of stakeholders and experts, including Carole Clancy, director of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Special Education; individuals from the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and Pennsylvania's Special Education Advisory Panel; and representatives from parent advocacy and school administration organizations. You can join our discussion by using your mobile device or via laptop/desktop using Microsoft Teams on Friday morning at 11am by clicking here. There is no need to preregister; simply click on the link Friday morning.

Additionally, a copy of this discussion will be available to view ICYMI on our Facebook.com/RepMillerTogether42 page.

Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions, and we will address as many as we can in this one-hour discussion. We cannot promise that we will get to every question, but we will do our best. If you’d like to submit a question ahead of time, please send it to RepMiller@pahouse.net no later than Thursday, June 25 at 5 p.m.
