Mullery receives committee appointments
HARRISBURG, Jan. 30 – State Rep. Gerald Mullery was appointed to serve on four House committees for the 2019-20 legislative session: Education, Game and Fisheries, Judiciary and Labor and Industry.
“It is an honor to be reappointed to committees that represent the interests and concerns of my friends and neighbors living in Luzerne County,” said Mullery, D-Newport Township. “Committees are where the details of legislation are discussed and honed before bills reach the full House of Representatives. I look forward to working on bills that will improve opportunities for students who may not go to college; enhance job prospects for hardworking Pennsylvanians; and ensure we have a safe environment in which to live and raise a family.”
Mullery will continue as Democratic vice chairman of the Game and Fisheries Committee as well as Democratic chairman of the Education Committee’s Subcommittee on Career and Technical Education.
Mullery maintains offices at 156 S. Market St. in Nanticoke and 407 Centre St. in Freeland. The hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone numbers are 570-740-7031 and 570-636-3500, respectively.
