Rep. Gerald Mullery October 11, 2019 | 10:01 AM
HARRISBURG, Oct. 11 – State Rep. Gerald Mullery invites people to help protect their identity by participating in his free fall shredding event next week.
“We’re at a different location than in the past and we have earlier hours, so we hope everyone who needs help with disposing of personal information in a safe way will have the opportunity to stop by next week,” Mullery said. “Unfortunately, scams and identity theft remain a real concern and we all have paperwork that we don’t want to fall into the wrong hands. This free service allows people to properly and safely discard documents in an environmentally friendly way.”
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at a new location -- the Wright Township Municipal Building, 321 S. Mountain Blvd. in Mountain Top 18707.
Shredding is limited to residential documents. Residents can bring up to three bags or boxes of paper containing personal information – such as canceled or unused checks, bank or credit card statements, or tax records – to have it shredded on site.
For more information, contact Mullery’s office at 570-740-7031.
