Rep. Gerald Mullery June 30, 2017 | 5:34 PM
HARRISBURG, June 30 – State Rep. Gerald Mullery, D-Luzerne, issued the following statement regarding his vote for the $32 billion 2017-18 state spending plan which passed the House of Representatives and was sent to the governor.
“I was happy to support this bipartisan plan which included increases in basic education funding and restoration of many human service program cuts that were made earlier this year so that we can assist our most vulnerable residents.
“However, I am very concerned about the challenges currently facing our public lands, water, air and climate which are not addressed in this spending plan. Additionally, the fact we have yet to agree upon a way to pay for this plan causes me trepidation,” Mullery said.
