Mullery named to Labor Committee
HARRISBURG, Oct. 27 – State Rep. Gerald Mullery this week was appointed to the House Labor and Industry Committee.
“This committee has oversight on topics such as minimum wage, workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, building and construction codes, workplace health and safety. I look forward to learning more about these important issues and working with my colleagues on them and many others,” said Mullery, D-Luzerne.
“Representative Mullery has a sincere commitment to working men and women, such as when he went to bat earlier this year to stop the state prison at Retreat from being closed,” said House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, who appointed Mullery. “Helping workers throughout the state is a central concern for us and I know he will do a great job on this committee so that more Pennsylvanians can find great jobs.”
Since the 2017-18 session began, Mullery has served on the House Education, Game and Fisheries, Health and Judiciary committees.
