Mullery welcomes Keystone Games, cites economic benefit

NANTICOKE, Feb. 15 – State Rep. Gerald Mullery is welcoming today’s announcement that the Keystone State Games will return to Luzerne County this summer.

“I applaud the Keystone State Games for selecting Luzerne County as the host for their Festival of Sports and Senior Games in 2018 and 2019. As the father of two daughters who have competed in the Keystone State Games for the past several years, I can personally attest to the level of competition and sportsmanship the games promote. I also recognize the positive economic impact the games will have locally. Having travelled to York County over the past three years, our teams have spent weekends in hotels, dining out and promoting other counties’ economies. I am thrilled those tourism dollars will now be spent here at home in Luzerne County,” Mullery said.
