Neilson applauds over $43 million in state funding for city of Philadelphia

State Rep. Ed Neilson and his colleagues from the Philadelphia House Delegation continue to deliver for both their individual legislative districts and the city as a whole, with more than $43 million in state Local Share Account funding awarded to 1,216 projects throughout Philadelphia.

“This massive investment throughout the city represents House Democrats’ commitment to uplifting the people of Philadelphia by funding initiatives to enhance safety, bolster education, build up our workforce and support other projects that will keep Philadelphia thriving and growing,” Neilson said.

Neilson highlighted the following projects in his legislative district:

  • JEVS Orleans Technical College IT and Security Enhancements
    • $362,089
  • Northeast Philadelphia Airport
    • $1 million
  • Philadelphia City ADA Curb Ramps at 10 Intersections
    • $968,273

The grants come from Local Share Account funds, which come from Pennsylvania gaming funds. The funds are approved and distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
