Burgos recognized as PA Rural Electric Association Legislator of the Year

HARRISBURG, May 14 – State Rep. Danilo Burgos was presented with the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association’s (PREA) Legislator of the Year award last week.

The award was presented in recognition of his advocacy for rural electric cooperatives and the communities they serve.

“I am deeply honored by this prestigious recognition,” Burgos said. “I’d like to thank the PA Rural Electric Association for choosing to recognize me. I will always work and fight for rural and city Pennsylvanians.”

The Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association (PREA) has served as the unified voice for electric cooperatives in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1942. These member-owned entities provide power and other services within their respective service territories. PREA is a nonprofit service organization headquartered in Harrisburg and is governed by a 14-member board of directors, one director from each member cooperative.
