HARRISBURG, Oct. 26 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill announced today that ArtsQuest has been awarded $46,956 in state funding for its security and staff.
“Our community is truly blessed to have an organization like ArtsQuest providing cultural and entertainment experiences throughout the year,” said McNeill, D-Lehigh. “I am pleased to see this funding secured to ensure everyone from the visitors to the performers to the staff are safe at these events.”
According to McNeill, ArtsQuest will use the funding for two-way radios and related communications equipment for its security officers.
The state funding is administered by the state Department of Community and Economic Development.
ArtsQuest was founded in 1984 and its mission is to provide access to exceptional artistic, cultural and educational experiences using arts and culture as key elements of economic development for urban communities.
