O’Mara’s open house for district office a success

HARRISBURG, Jan. 28 – State Rep. Jennifer O’Mara, D-Delaware, hosted an open house Friday for the grand opening of her district office at 905 W. Sproul Road, Suite 203 in Springfield.

An estimated 85 people attended the open house, including state Sen. Tim Kearney, community leaders, representatives from Springfield and Morton police departments, a Marple Township commissioner, faith community leaders and many constituents who came to meet O’Mara and her staff.

“It was a great day of community building and engaging with our neighbors,” O’Mara said. “I want to thank everyone for coming. I appreciated hearing from people directly about the issues that matter the most to them. As their state representative, I will ensure that their voices are heard in Harrisburg.”

O’Mara also has established two mobile offices in addition to her district office. Residents of Wayne can visit her office at 301 Iven Ave. on the first Thursday of every month from noon to 4 p.m. and residents of Morton can visit her office at 500 Highland Ave. on the third Thursday of every month from noon to 4 p.m.

Services that O’Mara’s offices can help assist with include Pennsylvania income tax questions or problems, information on financial assistance for higher education, state Transportation Department work, including driver’s license and registration, and grant applications for state programs, including the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

O’Mara was sworn in to her first term Jan. 1. The 165th District covers Morton and Marple, Radnor and Springfield townships. The Springfield office is open now and can be reached at (610) 544-9878.
