HARRISBURG, Dec. 9 – The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency announced at a Capitol news conference today the approval of 44 Penn State Endowment grants to help victims of child sex abuse.

A grant for $100,000 was awarded to the Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania to continue with the creation of a children’s advocacy center in Susquehanna and Wyoming counties.

"The Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania does tremendous things to help children, families and communities throughout the city of Wilkes-Barre and northeastern Pennsylvania," said state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Luzerne. "The grant will help the organization reach out to help even more children and families with the services it currently provides."
