WILKES-BARRE, Nov. 17 – State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Luzerne, announced today that the Wilkes-Barre Area School District was awarded a Safe Schools School Police/Resource Officer grant by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in the amount of $40,000.

“This funding is crucial to ensure that our schools remain a peaceful spot for our students to learn and grow without being concerned about their safety,” Pashinski said. “I’m thankful to the Department of Education for awarding this grant and ensuring that students at Wilkes-Barre are being educated in the proper environment.”
