Pa. Legislative Black Caucus, Policy Committee to host public hearing on Clean Slate Thursday in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, April 29 – State Rep. Ed Gainey, D-Allegheny, and State Rep. Stephen Kinsey, D-Phila., today announced that the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus and the House Democratic Policy Committee will hold a joint public hearing on clean slate issues.

The hearing will be held at noon Thursday, May 2 at Community Empowerment Association, 7120 Kelly St., Pittsburgh, PA 15208. The media and public are invited to attend.

Gainey, D-Allegheny, requested the hearing to bring stakeholders and his legislative colleagues from across the state, including PLBC Chairman Kinsey, together to discuss how clean slate legislation will help empower citizens who have not reoffended.
