Pennsylvania Film Tax Credit

PITTSBURGH, July 20 – From “Silence of the Lambs” and “The Dark Knight Rises” to “Mayor of Kingstown” and “The Pitt,” more than 250 productions have filmed in southwest Pennsylvania while generating billions of dollars in economic activity and supporting good-paying jobs. Rep. Emily Kinkead hosted a roundtable discussion and tour with the House Majority Policy Committee, joined by the Pittsburgh Film Office and local union officials. State lawmakers discussed the Pennsylvania Film Tax Credit program, which offers a 25% tax credit to productions that spend at least 60% of their total budget in the state.
