Prokopiak presents Middletown Township with $593,500 grant for Forsythia Crossing Park improvements

MIDDLETOWN, Oct. 15 – On Wednesday, state Rep. Jim Prokopiak presented Middletown Township with a $593,500 state grant for improvements to Forsythia Crossing Park through the Local Share Account Program.

This funding will be directed toward installing permanent bathrooms, lighting and security cameras. Currently, the lack of these features discourages usage of the park during non-peak hours and limits accessibility.

“I'm honored to have played a part in securing this investment into our community and I look forward to watching these improvements make Forsythia Crossing Park a safer, more accessible and more enjoyable place for years to come,” said Prokopiak, D-Bucks.

All funds were allocated through the statewide Local Share Account Program, which was established as an amendment to the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act. The program allows for the distribution of gaming revenue through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support projects in the public interest throughout Pennsylvania.
