Rozzi welcomes governor’s proposed property tax reform, education investment

HARRISBURG, March 3 — State Rep. Mark Rozzi, D-Berks, released the following statement following Gov. Tom Wolf’s budget address:

“This budget addresses priorities important to the middle class. Priorities that would fund education, create good-paying jobs and lower property taxes.

“Berks County families are ready for their children to receive the education they deserve. The governor’s investment in education at all levels would help prepare our children for successful and rewarding careers.

“The state investment in education would take the funding burden off our local municipalities and allow for historic property tax relief throughout the state. Property tax relief is one of my top legislative priorities and I’m pleased to see it’s also one of our governor’s main concerns.”
