KENNETT SQUARE, July 5 – State Rep. Christina Sappey, D-Chester, will host an informational panel discussion on Lyme disease from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11 at the West Bradford Township Building.
“Chester County has the highest number of confirmed and probable Lyme cases in the state and is routinely in the top five counties nationally,” Sappey said. “I’m happy to help my constituents and educate them about this disease in any way I can.”
Sappey will provide an update on current legislation to help those battling a Lyme disease diagnosis. Her co-panelists, including a local doctor, Lyme disease patient and representatives from the Lyme Disease Association of Southeast Pennsylvania, Department of Environmental Protection and the Chester County Health Department, will discuss Lyme disease, treatment, prevention, and resources available to help those who receive a diagnosis. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions or address concerns pertaining to Lyme disease.
