Sappey presents Unionville Fair with citation for 95th year

KENNETT SQUARE, Oct. 10 – State Rep. Christina Sappey presented the Unionville Community Fair with a House of Representatives citation Saturday in recognition of the event’s 95th year.

“The Unionville Fair has been an integral part of our community for nearly a century,” said Sappey, D-Chester. “This fair is a celebration of our rich Unionville history, local agriculture and the season. It’s also an excellent opportunity for our children to appreciate rural life firsthand.”

The fair features baking contests, a scarecrow-making contest, an antique auto show, spooky Halloween attractions and numerous entertainment groups.

“The Unionville Community Fair has been a part of the fabric of this community for generations, and it’s my sincere hope it remains an annual event for generations to come,” Sappey said.

Sappey presented Bonnie Musser, Unionville Fair president, with the citation.

This year’s fair began with events starting Sept. 24 and continued through Oct. 6. Each year the fair features a celebration of local agriculture, arts and crafts. There was a food truck day, car show, lip sync battle, haunted house, live music and more.
