May 15, 2023 - Protecting Public Health

Rep. Scott joined the House Majority Policy Committee convened a roundtable at the Delaware County Health Department’s Baldwin Tower to meet with county health officials. The discussion focused on the importance for every county in Pennsylvania to have a health department, and the role they play in maintaining physical and mental wellness in the communities they serve. Following that discussion, committee members traveled to the Delaware County Wellness Center for a tour.

Rep. Scott joined the House Majority Policy Committee hearing in Delaware County to discuss emergency management services in Pennsylvania and the daily challenges facing these first responders.

April 20, 2023 - Protecting Public Water Authorities

Rep. Scott travelled with the House Majority Policy Committee for a tour and roundtable to discuss how Pennsylvania residents are negatively impacted when public water authorities are sold to for-profit companies, including rate hikes with little to no service improvements.

The House Majority Policy Committee hosted a hearing on Black maternal health and the troubling statistics involving Black mothers and birthing individuals and maternal mortality rates.

March 14, 2023 - Train Derailment

A bipartisan House Policy Committee hearing, featuring members of the House Majority Policy Committee and the Republican Policy Committee, heard testimony on the state and local response to the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, on the night of Feb. 3.
