E-Blast: Incentives for Early Educators, School Safety Grants & more!

Early Childhood Educator Incentives

It's simple. Employers need workers, and working families need child care they can afford. By ensuring early childcare providers are paid fairly, we can attract more professionals to this critically needed field. I'm introducing a bill package that offers financial incentives to early childhood educators. This investment in quality education will expand access to child care for working parents across the Commonwealth. For more details, you can read the bill's memo here

Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Human trafficking is a heinous crime that takes advantage of vulnerable people. Many victims fight to escape constant abuse. Sadly, these survivors may face charges for protecting themselves. Learn about my bill that will defend victims from prosecution: Affirmative Defense for Survivors of Human Trafficking

Improving Food Safety

The FDA has recently taken action to make food safer for our families by banning the use of FD&C Red No. 3. Last year I introduced a package to address Red No. 3 and other dangerous food additives in products produced and sold in Pennsylvania. I aim to reintroduce similar food safety legislation in the near future.

School Safety Grants

Congratulations to the following schools and districts for being awarded state grant funding to make their schools safer and provide mental health support for staff and students!
