Shusterman announces major repairs to Tredyffrin bridge

TREDYFFRIN, July 8 – State Rep. Melissa Shusterman, D-Chester/Montgomery, announced today that a bridge in her district will soon receive much-needed repairs, thanks to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation funds.

The bridge in Tredyffrin on Route 252, otherwise known as Bear Hill Road, over Norfolk Southern Railroad will soon be under construction. According to PennDOT, the focus of this project involves repairs to address the poor condition of bridges in Chester, Montgomery and Bucks counties to maintain safe and efficient conditions for travelers. This bridge improvement project is financed 100 percent with state funds.

“Protecting our infrastructure, and making lives easier for the people who use it, is a top priority,” Shusterman said. “Repairing and maintaining our bridges will ensure safe daily travel and prevent major issues from occurring in the future.”

Construction is expected to begin this summer and finish by late 2020.
