Shusterman announces $64K in traffic safety improvements in Schuylkill Township

PAOLI, Oct. 4 – State Rep. Melissa Shusterman, D-Chester/Montgomery, announced today that Schuylkill Township will receive a $64,455 grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s “Green Light-Go” program.

Shusterman said the funds will be used to upgrade vehicle detection technology at two intersections along Valley Forge Road.

“This will increase safety, efficiency and traffic flow at busy intersections,” Shusterman said. “I’m proud that I could help bring these funds back to the district to alleviate a problem that I know has been a burden to many constituents.”
