CARMICHAELS, Dec. 18 – To provide convenient constituent access across the sprawling 50 th Legislative District, state Rep. Pam Snyder, D-Greene/Fayette/Washington, has announced her 2019 office hours and locations, which take effect Jan. 1. All-day access will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Snyder’s Carmichaels and Waynesburg offices, and be offered for the same time frame in her Brownsville office Wednesday and Thursday. Snyder will operate once-a-month, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. outreaches in two locations: Masontown the fourth Tuesday, and Fredericktown the third Tuesday. “Nothing is more important to an elected official than being accessible to the people we serve, and we believe that our 2019 office configuration satisfies that goal,” Snyder said. “This is a very strong effort to match our staffing resources with demonstrated patterns of constituent need. During a public hearing in August to discuss the lack of high-speed internet service in Greene County, Rep. Pam Snyder said it was time for state lawmakers to demand internet providers “beef up their service” in rural areas. Snyder moved forward with that promise Tuesday by introducing legislation in the state House to upgrade the standard for broadband service in Pennsylvania to increase download and upload speeds for rural customers.
