As a nurse practitioner himself, Pa. state Rep. Tarik Khan was proud to speak on behalf of healthcare advocates introducing legislation supporting Pennsylvania nurse practitioners. There are many barriers to entry in this profession, like pricey collaborative agreements costing the provider $10,000 - $20,000 a year, preventing nurse practitioners from caring for patients in those areas. This is a bill with tremendous bipartisan support.
