Webster to host “Succeeding as a Young Adult” Sept. 28
WEST NORRITON, Sept. 23 – State Rep. Joe Webster will host an afternoon of workshops on professional and personal skills for young adults on Saturday, Sept. 28.
“I’m pleased to bring together these resources to help our young people get the skills they need as they are starting out,” said Webster, D-Montgomery. “These workshops cover many topics that will be valuable to young adults for life.”
“Succeeding as a Young Adult,” will run from noon to 3 p.m. at Perkiomen Valley High School, 509 Gravel Pike, Collegeville. Attendees can participate in one or more of the three free, one-hour sessions at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
- Professional skills – resume building, cover letter writing, job interview preparation.
- Financial literacy – personal finance, credit, budgeting.
- Personal health skills – navigating the health care system, Medicaid.
- Voting/Elections – registering, absentee ballots and other information.
