Wheatley: Virtual MWDBE scheduled for May 14

Local, state agencies to take part

PITTSBURGH, May 12 – Due to ongoing concerns related to COVID-19, state Rep. Jake Wheatley has announced that the Minority Women and Disadvantaged Business Event he hosts annually will now be held virtually beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14.

Wheatley, D-Allegheny, said a variety of agencies and organizations are scheduled to take part in the event, including the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, the POISE Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, Rivers Innovation and the Pittsburgh Black Elected Officials Coalition.
