Williams presenting Second Chance Expo in Coatesville

COATESVILLE, Dec. 4 – State Rep. Dan Williams, D-Chester, will present a Second Chance Expo from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Chester County OIC, 22 N. 5th Ave., Coatesville, 19320.

The three-hour event will feature guest speakers, including state Rep. Jordan A. Harris, D-Philadelphia, and Brandon J. Flood, secretary of the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons.

Information will be available on criminal record expungement, the Clean Slate law, pardons, and the SOAR re-entry program, as well as employment opportunities.

“Mistakes from our past – especially after a debt to society has been paid – should not define us,” Williams said. “Those who have been rehabilitated and strive to become productive citizens who improve their lives, the lives of their families and the entire community deserve the opportunities to do so.

“That’s the impetus behind this Second Chance Expo. We want to educate and inform the men and women who, like all of us, strive for continued growth, both personally and in terms of career. We want to introduce people to the options available that enable them to take those steps forward.”

Those seeking more information are asked to contact Williams’ district office at 484-200-8256.
