Voting made easier: absentee ballots
Earlier this week, Gov. Tom Wolf announced that our commonwealth will soon launch an online application for absentee ballots in time for the November election.
As your state representative, protecting your right to vote ranks high on my list of priorities. And that’s why I love this news from Gov. Wolf.
Previously in Pennsylvania, the only option for completing an absentee ballot application was through mail or hand-delivery to a county election office.
Now, in line with our digital advances, we will be launching a website – votesPA.com/ApplyAbsentee – on Monday, Sept. 16, that will allow registered voters to apply for an absentee ballot for the Nov. 5 election.
This undoubtedly quickens the application process and makes it more accessible for thousands of voters.
