Youngblood to co-host shredding event Sept. 29
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 17 – State Rep. Rosita Youngblood, D-Phila., will co-host a free paper-shredding event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2800 W. Cheltenham Ave.
“This is an opportunity for the community to come and dispose of important documents safely,” Youngblood said. “Protecting your information by shredding is a safe measure to get rid of paperwork you no longer need.”
Residents are encouraged to bring any documents that contain personal information, such as Social Security numbers, credit card statements and applications, medical records, banking statements, canceled checks, income tax information, insurance records and retirement or pension fund information.
Papers must be loose. Binders or paper clips cannot be accepted. Documents will be shredded on site. More information is available by calling Youngblood’s office at 215-849-6426.
The event is in partnership with state Sen. Art Haywood and state Reps. Chris Rabb, Isabella Fitzgerald and Stephen Kinsey.
