A busy start to the year with Policy Hearings

We hit the ground running in January with an Agricultural & Rural Affairs meeting and throughout February we listened to testimony from experts and stakeholders who support our seniors, we learned more about how important it is to fund mass transit. In March, we've started off strong advocating to get rid of dangerous ghost guns and the need for funding the Safer Communities Grant Program.

April 18, 2023 - Illegal ATV Use

The Majority Policy Committee convened a hearing at Beloved St. John Church, hosted by Reps. Darisha Parker and Amen Brown, to discuss the ongoing issue of illegal ATV use on city streets. Members heard testimony from concerned residents, Philadelphia police, and city officials.

August 16, 2022 - Balance in the Rental Market

The House Democratic Policy Committee hosted a hearing on Balance in the Rental Market at Salus University's The Eye Institute on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022 in Philadelphia. Rep. Darisha Parker hosted the hearing.
