Zabel to host Mental Health and Wellness Expo Friday, Nov. 5

DREXEL HILL, Oct. 20 – In an effort to promote the numerous health and wellness services available throughout the region, state Rep. Mike Zabel, D-Delaware, announced he will host a Mental Health and Wellness Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. The event will be held at the Child Guidance Resource Center at 2000 Old West Chester Pike, Havertown.

“The expo is designed to bring professionals, vendors and residents together in one room to talk about the services that offer the help and resources needed by everyone,” Zabel said. “For too long, a stigma has often been associated with addressing mental health, but I think we’ve finally reached a time when almost everyone understands finding the professional help you need to address a problem is the best way to deal with any concern. Sometimes it can be as easy as finding a professional who is willing to listen and convey a course of action.”

To ensure everyone’s safety, masks are highly encouraged for this event.

The event will feature professionals, office staff and vendors willing to discuss how residents can improve their health and wellness.

Zabel’s staff will be on hand with information on state-related services. For more information, please reach out to Zabel’s office at 484-200-8262.
