If you are looking for an invaluable experience that you can utilize in just about any career, a desire to provide service to the citizens of Pennsylvania and enhance your resume, then an internship in the office of Representative Jake Wheatley is for you. Working out of the Representative’s district office, interns will focus on assisting the district office staff in areas of constituent relations, constituent outreach, communications and various other tasks as determined. Interns can also expect some exposure to the Representative’s office in Harrisburg where they will have a "shadow day", getting a first-hand look at what happens in the State Capitol Building.

• You will handle constituent problems/concerns and refer problems/concerns to the proper agency/Representative staff member.
• You will prepare correspondence; procure copies of legislation and/or other state-related documents or information requested by constituents.
• You will assist with various outreach projects.
• Spend a day in Harrisburg with Representative Wheatley and get a unique view of the happenings at the Capitol Building.
