HARRISBURG, Sept. 15 – State Rep. Heather Boyd today announced that multiple organizations in her district were awarded over $1.6 million in new grant funding.
“Bringing state resources back to our communities is one of the most important parts of my job, and I’m proud to see more than $1.6 million invested in the 163rd,” said Boyd. “From improved parks and athletic facilities to stronger infrastructure and enhanced public safety, these are investments in the future of our communities and I’m proud to have advocated for them.”
The funds were awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority via the Local Share Account, which distributes money from gaming revenues to counties to support projects in the public interest.
In the 163rd District, Boyd supported state funding for the following projects:
