Recent Community Events and Reflections

Dear Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to share some reflections on two recent events that reminded me just how special our community is and how fortunate I am to represent you.

I had the pleasure of attending the Bucks Mont Collaborative’s 2026 Winter Legislative Breakfast, hosted right here in the 151st at the Horsham Township Community Center. It was energizing to spend the morning in real conversation with the nonprofit leaders who serve our community every day. Events like this matter because they create space for honest dialogue, shared problem solving, and a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our neighbors.

The Collaborative’s focus on housing and behavioral health priorities set the stage for meaningful discussions, but the heart of the morning was the table conversations where providers and legislators could connect directly, exchange insights, and learn from one another’s experiences. These conversations help strengthen partnerships and ensure that the voices of those doing the work on the ground are heard. I’m grateful to everyone who helped organize the event and to all who participated. Bringing people together in this way is how we build stronger, more responsive communities, and I look forward to continuing these important conversations throughout the year.

I also had the incredible opportunity to join Blair Mill Elementary School for their One School, One Book Kickoff as part of their Read Across America celebration. The energy, excitement, and love of reading that filled the room were truly inspiring. Watching students, teachers, and community partners come together around a shared story is exactly what makes this annual tradition so special.

Introducing School Days According to Humphrey and reading the first chapter with the students was a highlight of my week. Events like this remind us how powerful it is when a school community reads, learns, and imagines together. The dedication of the staff, student ambassadors, Home and School Association, and everyone who helped bring this celebration to life is something to be proud of.

I’m already looking forward to joining this wonderful event every year. Supporting literacy, family engagement, and a love of books is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in our future readers and leaders. Thank you, Blair Mill Elementary, for inviting me to be part of such a joyful and impactful tradition.

As always, it is an honor to serve you, and I remain committed to uplifting the voices, values, and vibrancy of our community.
