This week we’re bidding a fond farewell to our intern, Matthew, as he concludes his time with our office, while also welcoming two new members to our team: our newest intern, Alexis, and our new full-time Constituent Services Advisor, Samantha. We’re excited for the opportunities ahead and grateful for the contributions each of them brings to our office.
Thank you, Matthew, for joining our team over the past three weeks. It has been a pleasure having you in our office as part of your community study. Your enthusiasm for law and politics, your curiosity, and the thoughtful way you approached each task made a real impact during your time here.
We are excited for all that lies ahead for you. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, and best wishes as you begin your journey at Penn State University to study Political Science with minors in Legal Studies and Communication Arts & Sciences. Your dedication and drive will undoubtedly take you far.
We hope you carry the experiences from these past few weeks with you, and we look forward to seeing the great things you accomplish in the future. Thank you again for your time, energy, and contributions to our office.

“Hello everyone! My name is Alexis, and I am a recent graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Political Science. I am very grateful to be working with Representative Melissa Cerrato’s office, as it gives me the opportunity to serve the community, support constituents, and gain hands-on experience in government.
“I have always been passionate about law, public service, and helping others, so this role is a meaningful step toward my future goal of attending law school and pursuing a career in the legal field in the coming years. Through this position, I hope to continue developing my communication and advocacy skills while learning more about the needs of the people in our district.
“Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, getting involved in my community—especially with NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) and the Ambler Area Running Club—and continuing to grow personally and professionally. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with Representative Cerrato and her team!”

“Hi, my name is Sam, and you may remember me from my 10-week internship in Rep. Cerrato’s office last summer. I am a recent graduate of West Chester University. While at West Chester, I majored in Political Science with minors in Social Work and Law, Politics, and Society. I was also a member of the women’s soccer team.
“In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I am excited to be returning to Missy’s office as a full-time Constituent Service Advisor and hope to contribute in a meaningful way!”

Thank you to everyone who dropped off food donations this month. Matthew and I delivered them to the Ambler Community Fridge outside the Ambler Mennonite Church. This fridge and the cupboard beside it are available to the public around the clock and are a real treasure in our community. Your generosity helps ensure that it stays stocked for anyone who may be in need, and we are truly grateful.

????Another Carload Delivered to Mitzvah Circle!????
|
I had the privilege of dropping off another carload of donations to Mitzvah Circle, and each time I do, I am reminded of the incredible impact this organization makes.
These donations go directly to families facing difficult times, providing not just essentials but also comfort and dignity. From clothing and household items to personal care products, every contribution helps ease burdens and brings hope to those who need it most.
Mitzvah Circle’s mission is rooted in compassion, and seeing their work firsthand is always inspiring. Thank you to everyone who continues to support these efforts. My office will continue to serve as a year-round drop-off location for donations. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.

I’m also thrilled to share that our recent Tigris Foundation donation drive was an incredible success, thanks to the generosity and spirit of our amazing community!
Here’s what we were able to deliver together:
- Mattie Dixon: 144 pounds of cleaning supplies
- Mitzvah Circle: 20 bags and boxes filled with clothing and toiletries
- Jewish Relief Agency: 5 boxes of menstrual products
- BookSmiles: an entire truck packed with roughly 9,000 books
This effort truly showcased what can happen when a community comes together with purpose and heart. We’re deeply grateful for every single donation and for everyone who helped make this initiative so impactful. Thank you for making a real difference!
