Davidson announces nearly $460,000 in grants

HARRISBURG, Dec. 22 – State Rep. Nate Davidson, D-Cumberland/Dauphin, today announced that a total of $459,525 in grant funding has been awarded to support a variety of projects in Harrisburg and Cumberland County.

Local Share Account (LSA) Grants:

  • $200,000 – YWCA Greater Harrisburg for essential building upgrades.
  • $85,619 – Second City Church for stair and door improvements.
  • $44,654 – Valley Youth House for a new medium-sized transport van.

CFA Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program Grants:

  • $100,000 – East Pennsboro Township for Midway Park’s Building Bridges Through Play program.
  • $29,252 – 200 First Street Associates for the Summerdale Sidewalk and Walking Trail Extension project.

“These grants are going to places that are vital to our community,” Davidson said. “Whether it’s a shelter, a church, or a park, these projects prioritize keeping people happy, healthy, and engaged. Residents want to see their tax dollars making a tangible difference in their quality of life.”

The Commonwealth Financing Authority administers both Local Share Account and Act 13 funding. LSA funds, generated through the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, support a wide range of public-interest projects across the state.
