Davidson announces $135,567 in Fire and EMS grants

HARRISBURG, Feb. 18 – State Rep. Nate Davidson, D-Cumberland/Dauphin, said he is proud to announce that $135,567 has been awarded to Fire and EMS companies in the 103rd Legislative District.

The funds come from the State Fire Commissioner’s Office as part of the state’s annual Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services grant program. Eligible organizations can use the money for facility improvements, new equipment, debt reduction, training, education, recruitment, retention and new facility construction.

The grants are awarded as follows:

  • Camp Hill Fire Co. No. 1 -- $14,281
  • East Pennsboro Ambulance -- $15,000     
  • Enola Fire Co. 3 -- $39,518 
  • Northeast Fire & Rescue -- $20,009
  • West Shore Bureau of Fire -- $14,899
  • Camp Curtin Fire Company No. 13 -- $15,724
  • City of Harrisburg, Harrisburg Bureau of Fire -- $16,136

“These grants are an investment in community safety, ensuring the men and women who protect us have the resources and modern facilities they need to keep our community safe,” Davidson said. “I am proud to help obtain these grants for our local first responders so our heroes can focus on saving lives.”
