STATE GRANT PROGRAMS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS:
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Alternative Fuel Vehicle Rebates (Funding Source: Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants Fund)
Who May Apply: Pennsylvania residents who purchase/lease a new or used alternative fuel vehicle. Businesses are not eligible.
Use: To defray costs of purchasing a battery electric vehicle (BEV), hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (HFCV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, electric motorcycle, natural gas vehicle, or propane vehicle.
Funds: Up to $1,000 rebate depending on type of vehicle; additional $1,000 rebate for low income households.
Application Deadline: Rebates are first-come, first-served. Application must be submitted within 6 months of purchase.

Pennsylvania Commission on Crime & Delinquency: 2021 Community Violence Prevention and Reduction (Funding Source: School Safety and Security Fund)
Who May Apply: Municipalities, counties, institutions of higher education, and community-based organizations.
Use: Evidence-based programs and services to reduce community violence. See grant guidelines for complete list of eligible activities.
Funds: Up to $300,000 per application for up to a two-year project period. There are no match requirements.
Application Deadline: November 10

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: 2019 Recycling Performance Grants (Funding Source: Recycling Fund)
Who May Apply: Any municipality with a recycling program in 2019.
Use: Grants awarded based on total tons recycled and the applicant's recycling rate.

Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission: Boating Facility Grant Program (Funding Source: Boat Fund)
Who May Apply: Counties, municipalities, and 501(c)3 nonprofits, such as land trusts, conservancies, and watershed associations.
Use: Planning, acquisition, development, expansion or rehabilitation of motorized and non-motorized boating access areas that are open to the public at no charge. Includes boat ramps, floats, restrooms, access roads, parking areas, landscaping, aquatic invasive species prevention, and signs.
Funds: A 50% match is required. This is a reimbursement grant.

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Small Business Advantage Grant Program (Funding Source: Recycling Fund & Hazardous Sites Cleanup Fund)
Who May Apply: Registered Pennsylvania for-profit businesses with 100 or fewer full-time equivalent employees and which are taxed as a for-profit business.
Use: To purchase energy efficient or pollution prevention equipment, or adopt waste reduction processes. Examples of eligible projects include HVAC and boiler upgrades, high-efficiency LED lighting, digital X-ray equipment, solvent recovery systems, water and waste recycling processes, auxiliary power units (APUs), and agricultural BMPs. Projects must save the small business a minimum of $500 and at least 25% annually in energy consumption or pollution related expenses. Natural resource protection projects must quantify the reduction of nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment loadings reaching the receiving waterway.
Funds: 50% matching reimbursement grants up to a maximum of $7,000. A total of $1 million will be distributed.
Application Deadline: First-come, first-served until funds are expended or April 12, 2021, whichever occurs first.

Watershed associations, counties, municipalities, municipal authorities, councils of government, conservation districts, educational institutions, and nonprofits. - Projects to address nonpoint source pollution originating from agricultural activities, abandoned mine drainage, stormwater runoff, and streambank and degradation.
DDAP Police Diversion to Treatment: October 23 (Funding Source: Federal Funding)
Single county authorities. - To establish or expand a treatment diversion program for individuals with an opioid use disorder who are arrested.
DDAP Pregnancy Support Services: October 30 (Funding Source: Federal Funding)
Community service providers able to serve pregnant and postpartum women with stimulant or opioid misuse issues. - To provide pregnancy support services or make referrals to aid pregnant and postpartum women with opioid use disorder.
PHMC/DCED: PA Historic Preservation Incentive Tax Credit : October 31 (Funding Source: General Fund)
An individual, corporation, business trust, limited liability company, limited liability partnership, or any other form of legal business entity that owns a commercial property. Residential properties are not eligible. - Rehabilitation/restoration of a qualified historic structure.
PENNDOT Multimodal Transportation Fund: November 6 (Funding Source: Multimodal Transportation Fund)
Municipalities (including counties), school districts, council of governments, businesses, nonprofits, economic development organizations, public transit agencies, ports, rail/freight entities.- Road, bridge, streetscape, port, rail, aviation, transit, bicycle and pedestrian related projects.
PCCD 2021 Community Violence Prevention and Reduction: November 10 (Funding Source: School Safety and Security Fund)
Municipalities, counties, institutions of higher education, and community-based organizations. - Evidence-based programs and services to reduce community violence.
DEP Driving PA Forward – Truck and Bus Fleet Grant Program: November 13 (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust - Volkswagen Emissions Settlement)
School districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, nonprofits, corporations, air quality or transportation organizations, and others. - To replace or repower fleets of 6 or more Class 4-8 trucks, port drayage trucks, school buses, shuttle buses, and/or transit buses May be powered by diesel, electric, or other alternative fuels.
DEP Alternative Fuels Incentive Vehicle Grant: December 11 (Funding Source: Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants Fund)
School districts, municipal authorities, municipalities, nonprofits, private businesses. - Purchase or retrofit vehicles to operate on alternative fuels, purchase and install refueling equipment, and research or develop new technologies.
DEP Environmental Education Grants: December 11 (Funding Source: DEP Pollution Fines and Penalties)
Public and private schools, nonprofits, colleges and universities, county conservation districts, and businesses. – K-12 and non-formal education programs targeting any audience.
DEP Driving PA Forward Onroad Rebate Program – Trucks and Buses: December 31 (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust - Volkswagen Emissions Settlement)
School districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, nonprofits, corporations, air quality or transportation organizations, and others. – Rebates for projects that replace or repower fleets of 5 or fewer class 4-8 trucks, port drayage trucks, school buses, shuttle buses, and/or transit buses with new diesel, electric, or alternative fuels.
DEP 2020 DC Fast Charging and Hydrogen Fueling Grant Program: February 26 (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust-Volkswagen emissions settlement) Businesses, Incorporated Nonprofits, State, Local, or Tribal Government Agencies, Air Quality or Transportation Organizations, Metropolitan or Rural/Regional Transportation Planning Organizations, and Federal Government Agencies. - Purchase, installation, and operation of publicly accessible DCFC or HFCF at locations proposed by program applicants.
DEP Agricultural Plan Reimbursement Program: April 1 (Funding Source: Environmental Stewardship Fund)
Agricultural operators/landowners in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (43 counties). - To hire a technical expert to develop plans for manure management, nutrient management, or erosion and sediment control.
