Guzman to host back-to-school Resource Fair with Mayor Eddie Moran

READING, Aug. 21 – State Rep. Manny Guzman, D-Berks, announced today that he will host a new edition of the Back-to-school Resource Fair this Friday. He is partnering with Reading Mayor Eddie Moran to provide information and free school supplies to students as they prepare to return to school.

Guzman indicated that the fair will be a day of resources for the whole family in an entertaining setting. The event will feature school supplies available on a first-come, first-served basis along with free haircuts and information on state programs and services.

“I am proud to see the way this event brings the community together every year. The Resource Fair not only offers an opportunity for parents and their kids to get supplies for the school, it also creates a real sense of community,” Guzman said.

“I am always glad join forces with Mayor Moran for our community. This event has proven the power of collaboration; it is an outstanding way to help our neighbors. We’ll have great activities, and we will also feature key local organizations,” he added.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Aug. 25 at 644 Penn St. (Courtyard) in Reading.
