Krajewski receives committee assignments for 2021-22 session

HARRISBURG, Jan. 13 – State Rep. Rick Krajewski, D-Phila., was recently appointed to three standing Pennsylvania House committees, the Sentencing Commission and the Climate Caucus.

The appointments to the Environmental Resources & Energy, Health and Urban Affairs committees, made by House Democratic Leader Joanna McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware, are for the 2021-22 session of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He will be secretary of the Climate Caucus.

“I am here to represent the people in my district, especially working people,” Krajewski said. “Poor and working people are often hit hardest by issues affecting all of us such as climate change and the pandemic. It is imperative that working people have power to direct how we confront pressing issues including stopping the devastating effects of climate change, ensuring that health care and housing are human rights, and overhauling our criminal justice system so it can truly be a vehicle for justice. I am very pleased with my committee, commission, and caucus assignments and I look forward to working with leaders in my community and across our commonwealth to build a Pennsylvania that works for all of us.”

Krajewski is also a member of the Philadelphia Delegation and the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus, serving as co-chair of the sub-committee on voting rights with Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta.
