Rep. Brian Munroe December 18, 2025 | 3:55 PM
WARMINSTER, Dec. 18 – State Rep. Brian Munroe, D-Bucks, today announced an investment of over $900,000 in state funds for community connectivity, dam modification, and public water service projects in Legislative District 144.
The grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority and funded through the Local Share Account program, which is supported by the PA Race Horse Development Gaming Act.
Munroe says the grants will improve walkability and accessibility in Ivyland Borough, improve the capacity and meet requirements for the dam at the retention basin in Palomino Farms, and get the North Wales Water Authority in compliance with new Environmental Protection Agency and PA Department of Environmental Protection mandates for Warrington Township.
“These projects are essential improvements to our communities and the entities that provide them important services,” said Munroe. “They’ll make our neighborhoods safer and more accessible, and I’m proud to see this investment in our infrastructure and in our people.”
Projects that received grant funding include:
- $246,759 to Ivyland Borough to construct a safe crosswalk across Jacksonville Road at Willard Avenue, equipped with a flashing warning sign; the installation of an ADA-compliant ramp at Ivyland Community Park and a new sidewalk to connect the park to Ivyland Commons Park; and enhancements at Ivyland Community Park to include trash cans, benches, and landscaping.
- $520,000 to Warrington Township to complete necessary modifications to the retention basin at Palomino Farms. This will include reconstructing the existing dam to meet regulations, stream bank restoration, and rock and boulder stabilization.
- $155,380 to the North Wales Water Authority to purchase two public water system service vehicles to service Warrington Township and meet new EPA and PA DEP mandates.
Munroe worked alongside fellow lawmaker state Rep. Liz Hanbidge to secure the funding for the North Wales Water Authority.
