Munroe presents Warrington PD with $250,000 check for body cameras

WARRINGTON, July 15 – On Tuesday evening, state Rep. Brian Munroe, D-Bucks, presented the Warrington Police Department with a $250,000 check for new body cameras during the Warrington Township Board of Supervisors meeting.

The funding, secured through state grants, is one of many grant awards Munroe has obtained for his legislative district. A former police officer himself, Munroe said he was especially pleased to assist Warrington PD.

“Body cameras help make both citizens and police officers safer,” Munroe said. “They protect everyday people from abuse of power, and they make criminals think twice before assaulting an officer.”

Munroe chairs the PA House of Representatives’ bipartisan Law Enforcement Caucus and has championed resolutions and bills related to funding and honoring law enforcement.
