Munroe presents $150,000 grant to Centennial Station for improvements to community roadway and multi-sport court facilities

WARMINSTER, Sept. 4 – On Tuesday, August 25, state Rep. Brian Munroe held a presentation awarding Centennial Station a $150,000 grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development for needed improvements to a dilapidated community roadway and to resurface the complex’s tennis and pickleball courts.
Located in Warminster Township, Centennial Station is a 55+ senior community serving many residents who live on a fixed income and rely on Social Security. The project represents an urgent need for the community and, under normal circumstances, would have placed a significant financial burden on residents.
DCED funds will be used for road and street work, including, but not limited to, milling and repaving, speed bump installation, concrete curb replacement, stormwater inlet repairs, and the resurfacing and coloring of the tennis courts.
In addition to the residents of Centennial Station, residents of Warrington Township and surrounding townships who attend William Tennent High School will benefit from these improvements, as the roadway provides access to the school and its sports fields.
Munroe said the funding will help improve public safety and quality of life for residents in his legislative district.
“Whether you’re a student walking to and from school or a senior relying on local infrastructure, it’s crucial that we invest in maintaining our community for everyone who uses it,” he said.
The Centennial Station Board of Directors and Centennial Station residents said in a statement: “We truly appreciate the support that Representative Brian Munroe has shown to us and to our Centennial School District neighbors at William Tennent High School by securing the grant funding to fix the ‘No Name’ road, which serves both our communities.”
“I am always happy to get taxpayer dollars back into our community,” said Munroe. “I will never stop advocating for further investments and improvements right here in Warminster, Warrington, Ivyland, and New Britain.”
