Pisciottano: over $23K awarded to local first responders

State grant will fund new equipment for volunteer firefighters

DRAVOSBURG, Feb. 23 – State Rep. Nick Pisciottano, D-Allegheny, announced today that a $23,100 state grant has been awarded to the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department to help purchase new equipment.

“Volunteer firefighters are some of the most selfless members of our community, donating large amounts of their time and energy and risking their safety to protect their fellow citizens,” Pisciottano said. “I’m extremely proud to have helped secure these funds for the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the many other grants that have been secured for first responders in our area so far this year. I’ll continue doing everything I can to bring more resources back to these vital organizations.”

The funds are sourced from a grant program administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development.
