Aspinwall Borough receives grant from DCNR

DCNR’s C2P2 awarded $100,000 for the rehabilitation of Aspinwall Park

ASPINWALL, Oct. 6 – Rep. Mandy Steele, D-Allegheny, announced today that the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources awarded a grant to Aspinwall Borough.

The $100,000 grant will fund the renovation of pickleball courts, construction of a pedestrian walkway and multi-purpose court, installation of fencing, Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility, landscaping, project signage, and other related site improvements at Aspinwall Park.

“This project at Aspinwall Park will improve the park for all residents,” Steele said. “By investing in Aspinwall Borough, we may enhance our community.”

DCNR’s Community Conservation Partnerships Program allocates funding for projects related to parks, recreation, and conservation.
