Steele to celebrate Earth Week at district office

Offers trees, reusable tote bags, and glass recycling

HARRISBURG, April 9 — A devoted advocate for environmental conservation, state Rep. Mandy Steele, D-Allegheny, will celebrate Earth Week by offering local residents the opportunity to do their own part to protect the environment.

At her district office at 1296 Pittsburgh St. in Cheswick, Steele will offer the following:

  • An on-site glass recycling bin for jars, bottles, and jugs from April 18 to 23.
  • Reusable tote bags from April 20 to 24.
  • Trees from Tree Pittsburgh. A limited number will be available first-come, first-served.

“Every little action can help add up to big change,” Steele said. “And every one of us can do our part. We can plant more trees, rely on reusable tote bags, and recycle, among other things. Let’s all pitch in to help ensure a healthy planet for future generations.”
