$99,800 grant awarded to rehabilitate Marmo Park

Emsworth Borough to receive $99,800 grant

EMSWORTH, Oct. 5 – Emsworth Borough will receive a grant of $99,800 from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, state Rep. Arvind Venkat, D-Allegheny, announced today.

The grant will fund rehabilitation of Marmo Park, which will include installing play equipment with required safety surface, Americans with Disabilities Act access, landscaping, project signage, and other related site improvements.

“Rehabilitating Marmo Park will improve our community for children in Emsworth, as well as ensure accessibility for all residents,” Venkat said. “By investing in our community, we not only revitalize Marmo Park, but also Emsworth Borough.”

DCNR’s Community Conservation Partnerships Program allocates funding for projects related to parks, recreation, and conservation.
