BPA (bisphenol-A) is a chemical found in many everyday items, including:

• Plastic baby bottles and sippy cups
• Reusable plastic bottles and food containers
• Drink and food cans
• Dental sealants
• Cash-register receipts

When the container is warmed, the chemical can leach into its contents. When you eat that food the chemical goes into your body where it can cause a range of health problems, including:

• Breast and prostate cancer,
• Heart disease, obesity and diabetes,
• Autism, learning disorders and early puberty in children.

The medical community is also sounding the alarm on the dangers of BPA.
