MONROEVILLE, Feb. 17 – State Rep. Brandon Markosek, D-Allegheny, announced today that the Office of the State Fire Commissioner has awarded nearly $242,000 in state grants to 17 local fire and EMS companies serving the 25th Legislative District. The funding is to be awarded as follows:
“Our fire companies and EMS providers answer the call when lives are on the line, and they deserve reliable support to do their jobs effectively,” Markosek said. “These grants help ensure organizations across our region have the resources and tools they need to protect our communities, and I will continue working to deliver that support.”
The grants were awarded through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program and may be used toward facility renovations, equipment, debt reduction, training, and more. A full list of awardees is available here.
